Ma June is a character created solely for the Fallout TV series and has not appeared in any previous Fallout games. She owns Ma June’s Sundries, a store located in Filly, a town near Santa Monica. Ma June is a strong, no-nonsense woman who has earned her position through her toughness. She is willing to trade with anyone who has the necessary caps but will not hesitate to use force if someone tries to double-cross her.

In the episode “The Target,” Ma June appears only once. Lucy meets her after leaving Vault 33 and asks her what the surface world is like. Ma June is surprised to see Lucy, as she thinks all the Vault dwellers are dead. While talking to Lucy, Ma June also meets Siggi Wilzig and a Ghoul who seems hostile toward them since he is tracking Wilzig for a bounty. Ma June is suspicious of the Ghoul and tells him he is not welcome in Filly, which sets off a series of events.

Ma June’s actions bring the protagonists together and advance Lucy’s mission of saving her father, the overseer of Vault 33, from the show’s villain, Lee Moldaver. Although Ma June only appears once in the TV series, her appearance is significant and certainly makes an impression on the viewers.
