If you’re a fan of 2D platforms, Gravity Circuit takes inspiration from all your favorites from the past. The game has fast-paced action, well-designed levels, and memorable boss battles. The game’s main mechanic uses many abilities to platform and defeat enemies. You’ll manipulate gravity or create giant shock waves to defeat your foes or solve intricate puzzles.

Golf Story is a story-driven RPG like you’ve never seen before. It’s not the most epic tale ever told, but it’s full of charm and heartwarming scenes. You play as a down-on-his-luck golfer who decides to return to his swing. You explore eight unique environments, each with its course and secrets to discover. The RPG elements allow you to level up your skills. You can also unlock new clubs at higher levels.

Do you want a Souls experience on Switch? It doesn’t get much better than Salt and Sanctuary. The hand-drawn art style is stunning and unsettling and immerses you in every level. The gameplay combines platforming, deep character progression, and intense combat. Although it can be frustratingly complex, that’s the nature of the game, making it even more rewarding whenever you finally get past that boss you’ve been stuck on.

7. Bad North

Bad North throws you in the heat of battle against raiding Vikings in this RTS. You’ll have to command a group of soldiers to defend against waves upon waves of Vikings. Each island is procedurally generated, so you’ll need to think of a new strategy each time on the fly. You’ll have to put your tactical skills to the test if you want to protect your island.

6. Gris

Gris is a story-driven platform about a girl named Gris. The world has lost all its color, and Gris has lost her memories. As you progress through the game, she’ll regain fragments of her lost memories, represented by the vibrant colors that return to her world. This game stands out because there are no enemies, allowing you to focus on the story and the world’s beauty.

5. Afterdream

Afterdream is a 2D psychological horror adventure game with one of the most unique gameplay mechanics I’ve seen. You control a character named Blake through a vintage-style Polaroid camera. You’ll need to strategically reposition the camera to navigate the environment, solve puzzles, and glimpse into hidden corners where unseen horrors might lurk.

4. Born of Bread

If you’re a fan of the classic Paper Mario games, look no further. Born of Bread offers a surprisingly heartwarming story about self-discovery and the power of believing in yourself, even if you’re just a loaf of bread. Along the way, you’ll make many quirky friends to help you on your adventure. It’s one of my favorite games I’ve played recently.

3. ASTLIBRA Revision

ASTLIBRA Revision is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG where you journey through vibrant, hand-painted environments. You’ll slash your way through enemies with various sword combos and cast powerful skills as you discover the mysteries of your past. Manipulating time is a vital mechanic of the game. However, there are consequences for messing with it.

Trinity Trigger is a fast-paced and action RPG with charming visuals. You can switch between eight different weapon types at a moment’s notice. Depending on your enemies, each will have a strength or weakness. Even though it’s an action game first, there are many puzzles and hidden passages to find for you explorers.

When you venture out to collect more slimes, you’ll explore a vast and diverse open world filled with vibrant coral reefs to dry, dusty canyons.
