Red Bull Battle Grounds has come and gone with an exciting finale where HuK and MC took it all. However, there were many great moments throughout the entire event that may have been skipped by typical event coverage.

Over the past weekend Red Bull Battle Grounds finished up their Archon Mode tournament in Washington, D.C. From the stage presence to the presentation of the entire weekend, you could tell that the Starcraft 2 scene is alive and well.

I, for one, am a firm believer that a picture is worth a thousand words. If you haven't had the opportunity to go to an eSports event regardless of size, I hope that these can convince you that it would be worth the drive to check one out.

Starting up the event was a show match between Tong "AZAZ" Shen and Tien Comlekoglu. Both players were to chose a partner on the stop and AZAZ quickly chose RotterdaM. He ended up taking the win in 7 minutes.

Tien Comlekoglu chose an unprepared Nathan “Nathanias" Fabrikant for his partner in the best of 1 show match.

MMA and Bomber often would have quick chats between each game to prepare themselves for the coming match.

When it came to the games themselves, viOLet and Masa wasted no time. In most cases you never saw any reaction out of them during a match.

As the only Zerg players in the tournament, DongRaeGu and True had an almost unbreakable focus during their games.

Between matches, Bomber and MMA always had a very cheerful demeanor, which couldn't be broken even when falling down into the loser's bracket.

Not only was everyone at the venue captivated by the matches, but everyone was very focused and excited for the comic book style animated videos that were prepared for the theme of the event.

When it came to the trophy Red Bull was really able to make something unique with the metal cast of the United States Capital Building, which broke apart in the middle for each player.

Throughout the entire tournament you could tell that both MC and HuK were very relaxed and having a great time. They were not just there to compete, but to have fun playing Starcraft 2 together.

In the end it was MC and Bomber who were able to win it all. Quickly celebrating their victory and holding their trophy together at Red Bull Battle Grounds in Washington, D.C.
