Today is National Video Games Day! A special day of the year where we take a little extra time than we normally do to appreciate video games and what they’ve done for us.
There isn’t anything to different about today from any other day, if you play video games a lot already that is, but who doesn’t love a little bit of celebration? So many people, including the folks here at GameSkinny, have a special place in their hearts for video games. It’s nothing surprising really; Video Games are an art form, and like art of all mediums tend to do, video games can have a profound emotional and sentimental affect on people.
So what are some of your most fondly remembered gaming memories? Maybe playing Pokémon helped you learn to read, or Persona 4 made you comfortable enough to come out to the world, or maybe you met your romantic partner at a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament. There are so many great games out there, and so many people with so many stories to tell, we would love to hear some from you all! It’s a small world, and who knows, you may end up meeting somebody who shares the same memories as you, but from a different time. That’s part of the magic of gaming.
