Conundrum: To buy GTA V, or not to buy GTA V?
The bugaboo within I am currently living begins with the release of GTA 4. Being an avid lover of both GTA 3 and GTA: Vice City I purchased the fourth title fairly quickly and with ample excitement. Yet I was met with tremendous disappointment at the title. I was bored and frustrated by the façade that was Liberty City as well as the palpable melodrama that followed Niko Belic like odor on the gentleman that neglected to apply his Speed Stick.
My Backlog is Killing Me
Aside from the fuzzy, sad taste in my mouth left by GTA 4, I have a backlog the length of several football fields that I’m TRYING to satisfy prior to the release of the next-gen consoles. It is not going well.
With such a stack of games it makes me nauseous to think about getting a new one, thereby extending once again the line of games I need to play. Still though, if GTA V is as good as everyone says it is I feel like it would be worth my time to pick it up either way.
Next-Gen and Stuff!
Getting a new game at this point seems pointless, being that in two short months I’ll be neck-deep in Watch Dogs and Killzone – the current gen being a sad distant memory.
Many reviewers are calling GTA V ‘next-gen come early.’ If that’s true, I feel as though I have a responsibility as a journalist and avid gamer to play. Is this an excuse? Maybe. Is it working? Possibly.
Someone Help Me!
Seriously though – should I go get GTA V? I’m completely torn on it. So those of you that have played: Sound off in the comments down below and let me know your favorite thing about GTA V so far (spoiler free, of course). Try to convince me to pick it up, I really want to be convinced!
