A lot of gaming news happens throughout the week. A lot of things are to be celebrated dear readers. So here’s our favorite awesome things that happened this week in gaming.
So let me ask you: do you like Overwatch? Statistically speaking, you probably do and I don’t need to ask that question. Any who, Sombra was released this week as reported by Clayton, huzzah! The hacker hits the scene with her unique skill set. Players can hack turrets, go invisible, and for good measure use a EMP blast ultimate? For those of you who don’t own the game this weekend is a free weekend. Hmm, that sure is convenient.
Pokémon Sun and Moon is here dear reader! Are you still at a loss as to how to transfer them over? Thankfully David has a guide on how to transferring them from your GBA to the 3DS. Yes, now I’ll be able to bring my army of level 100s whom I’ve groomed for eternity. *Ahem* Surely, I’m not the only person to think about this. Competitive Pokémon is scary you know.
Woah, who knew magical, stealthy, gameplay and drama made for a good game? That’s a joke, sorry. However, we were happy that Sergey labeled Dishonored 2 as the best steam punk game of the year! Players will be able to experience the story from the perspective of the now very dangerous Emily and Dishonored 1’s protagonist, Corvo Attano. The game is compelling and challenge and we couldn’t ask for more.
This week was also a treat for Conan O Brien’s Clueless Gamer. Elijah Wood joins as they play Final Fantasy XV. What ensues is Conan giving us laughs while being rather honest about the experience. As reported by TIquor, its seriously funny. Now Conan’s comment may yield a lot of truth but it’s commentary during the earlier parts of the game. Elijah also makes some funny points as well.
Ty eases our worries with a positive review of the new Watch Dogs 2. He goes into detail that the game is fun and lighthearted. Which, as he mentions is a far cry from it’s not so fun predecessor.
The protagonist, Marcus. is likable, capable, and. oh gosh, he’s self sufficient. These are all the qualities of a better game and improved sequel. The game also make subtle nods to the movie Hackers (awesome!). I forgot to mention you can spend hours hacking San Francisco into mayhem.
Can you believe it? The PlayStation 3 turned 10 this week and I don’t know about you but I feel old. No, I’m kidding but it was a fun time to go down memory lane.
The PS3 has faced a lot of challenges since it was released. Thankfully, over time, Sony was able to do an about face for it’s public imagine. I wonder about how many hours I’ve spent in a decade with it? I’m not sure but we have a top ten list of the best game we’ve played! Happy birthday PlayStation 3.
Last but not least, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are upon us today! I know I said that already but it’s really important!
Thank all mighty Arceus Pablo has a feature dedicated to their exclusives. He breakdowns the differences in the games from pokémon, ultra beasts, and the day/night cycle. I don’t know about you but I need to make note of the exclusive pokémon. You may also base your decision based upon legendaries as well. Hmm, will I praise the sun or bow to the moon? Choices, choices.
So this was our collection of the best feel good news of the week. Believe it or not, this week had a lot of awesome things going on in the world of gaming. I may have not mentioned them all.
