A little over an hour ago, the Twitter account for the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water tweeted something a bit peculiar. Amid calls for people to #ditchthemyth and learn more about clean water and the effects of toxic mold on people and pets, there was another call: to play the new hot mobile game about E! star Kim Kardashian, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.
It’s good the account makes sure to note that RT’s and mentions do not count as endorsements, because they just endorsed a F2P mobile game.
Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is a mobile game in the ever-rising “free to play” market about becoming a hot new celebrity, like the titular star. Now as of posting there’s no answer to the burning questions presented by US EPA twitter followers. Why is the EPA tweeting about Kim Kardashian? What does the game have to do with water? What intern is going to be fired? And why are they so bad at being a celebrity?
There are so far some golden responses to the Twitter mishap:
So tonight we mourn, for some poor intern who thought they were using their Twitter account instead of that of the US EPA Office of Water, or for whatever mom let their kid fiddle with their iPad and didn’t realize. Because this will be the last we’ll probably see of the US EPA’s deep love of Kim K, and it will now be closeted away and forgotten.
