Why Pax Dei’s Early Access Launch has Players Upset

Pax Dei received a lot of hype, so why are many players now disappointed by its Early Access launch?

Pax Dei has officially been released into Early Access. However, it was quickly met with an abundance of negative reviews on Steam. Despite the excitement beforehand, it seems like the game was unable to live up to the expectations it set. Here’s why Pax Dei’s Early Access launch has players upset.

Pax Dei: Why Players Are Upset with the Early Access Launch

The core problem is that Pax Dei simply wasn’t ready to hit Early Access. Many features that it claims it’ll have aren’t present yet, so you end up feeling like the product isn’t what you expected when you purchased it. Priced at $39.99 USD, it just doesn’t feel worth the money, given the current lack of content. Especially when the current content is compared to the amount of features that had players hyped.

Right now, Pax Dei lacks a lot of features. While that’s not surprising or unusual for a game in Early Access, the problem is that you’re basically limited to crafting and gathering resources. The combat system is incredibly limited, and there’s not a lot to fight. Good, fleshed-out combat isn’t a necessity, especially in Early Access, but the features that remain aside from that are base building, crafting, and gathering. And all of those are rather tedious in their current states.

There’s Still Hope for Pax Dei

That’s not to say that Pax Dei won’t be a good game when it’s finished. There’s a lot of hype surrounding it and the potential it holds. While the price doesn’t match the content yet, I have hopes that updates will bring Pax Dei to the quality that we hoped for. Early Access is a great chance to hear feedback and improve. Plus, if you like exploring, crafting, and base building, you might find that you enjoy the game even in its current state.

That’s why Pax Dei’s Early Access launch has players upset. Although it was launched too early, there are plenty of reasons to continue being optimistic about the finished project. But from here, check out Palworld Sakurajima update’s new Pals!
