The new upcoming Xbox One by Microsoft may be the next girlfriend who will take care of all of your needs by just the command of your voice. But can this $499 console get a little over attached? Let’s take a look.
Kinect 2.0
Kinect 2.0 is a new advanced version of Kinect, which is basically a motion sensing device that tracks your movements. The technology inside the Kinect 2.0 can even track you in the dark. It can see the blood flow in your body and your heart rate. Xbox One knows everything about you by watching you like a hawk.
But she only does that because she cares about you.
Kinect can also detect the twitch of your finger in a 13 billionth of a second, which, in case you don’t know, is extremely fast.
She is always watching you…
The 24-hour online check
Xbox One previously featured a once every 24-hour online check-in with the Xbox Live network.
If you failed to do so, you might have lost all access to all of your games. And if you were at your friend’s house, you needed to check in every single hour. This decision has been reversed as of July 19th, 2013.
Gettin kinda clingy, aren’t we, Xbox One?
The “Xbox 180”
On June 19, 2013 Microsoft made a 180 on all of its DRM and online check policies claiming the reason being the mass consumer outrage against those policies.
Well she changed her ways for you. To keep you happy.
No Backward Compatibility
Xbox One doesn’t allow you to play any of your old Xbox 360 games that you love and cherish so much. Only titles made for the Xbox One can be played on the console.
Forcing you to bid adieu to your best friends. Isn’t that how it always starts?
The all-in-one entertainment device
The Xbox One is being marketed as the all-in-one entertainment device that allows you to watch TV, surf the web, listen to music, Skype with your friends, and play video games. It’s the only one $499 box that you need in your living room.
Well at least she relishes your time with her together.
And what’s more? It has a HDMI-In port, which can be used to plug in your Xbox 360 or maybe even your PS4…
But who knows what she might do if you cheat.. Is it worth the risk?
Well what do you think? Is Xbox One the overly attached girlfriend that will slowly smother you or is she the perfect gaming console built to date? Comment your thoughts below…
