After you finish Glyndwr’s bow & archery quests and rescue his sister Doireann, you can return to the elven Arbor for this quest. You start it by speaking to Doireann near the Arborheart tree. Here’s how to complete the Ailing Arborheart in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
How to Complete The Ailing Arborheart in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The quests starts with Doireann telling you that the Arborheart tree needs a specific curative to grow, which is actually in Bakbatthal. The quest doesn’t explain this to you, but I’ll guide you through the quest step-by-step:
- After Doireann tells you that you need to find Gwyfencha, you can head to Glyndwr’s ruins, where you finished Gift of the Bow.
- Glyndwr will tell you that Gwyfencha is actually Scalecinder, which is found in a Battahl blacksmith forge.
- He’s talking about Brokr and Sara in Bakbattahl, so you need to walk there, but I used a Ferrystone to a Bakbattahl portcrystal I placed and went to speak to Sara in Brokr’s Smithy.
- Sara will tell you that to get Scalecinder, you need to persuade Brokr to give it to you using a specific Elven dish.
- This begins a new quest called Out of the Forest Into the Forge, where you need to go back to the Sacred Arbor to Doireann and make the Elven dish for Brokr.
Note that this quest is the first part of healing the Arborheart, so don’t forget to check out our Out of the Forest Into the Forge guide for the second part. Making the dish for Brokr finishes this quest chain, heals the Arborheart, and unlocks Doireann’s companion quest.
That’s it for my guide on how to complete The Ailing Arborheart quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. You can read more of our Dragon’s Dogma 2 guides like how to unlock all enhancement styles or find all maisters.
