There are currently a whopping 16 datable characters in Sun Haven. You’ll romance them by increasing friendship heart levels through gifts and conversation, and you can eventually marry your favorite. You’ll want to know some key points before getting started though. Here are the key takeaways.

How to Romance Characters in Sun Haven

• Gain friendship hearts through conversation and daily gifts.
• You’ll need to reach 10 hearts with a romanceable NPC to date them.
• After reaching 10 hearts, purchase a Love Letter from Bernard for 25 Community Tokens and gift it to the NPC to make your relationship status official.
• Dating an NPC increases the friendship level to 15 hearts.
• You can date multiple NPCs, but you can only marry one.
• Once you reach friendship level 15, you can propose and get married.
• You can date while being married without repercussions.
• Have a change of heart? You can file for divorce at the town hall for free.

How to Propose Marriage

Marriage has some benefits in Sun Haven. You’ll be able to access an NPC’s house at any time of day, receive gifts, experience new dialogue, and even sleep at their house. Note that you can only be married to one NPC at a time, so be sure you’re single and ready to mingle before you propose. Here’s how to get married.

• Date an NPC and reach friendship Level 15.
• Go through all of the new dialogue with the NPC you’re dating.
• Purchase the Wedding Ring from Bernard for 100 Community Tokens and gift it to them to propose.
• The wedding will occur the day after the proposal.

Romance and Gifts

You’ll want to give gifts to date an NPC, but it can be tricky figuring out their preferred presents. Each NPC has their favorite and least favorite gifts — so you’ll want to make sure you’re giving the right items to increase hearts. Loved gifts will gain one full heart, liked gifts provide ¾ a heart, and neutral gifts provide ¼ a heart. Here are the ideal gifts for every romanceable character.
