When you look at Minecraft, it is hard to not consider it a unique game -- in fact, to think it's not unique might be a crime. Just on it's visual gaming style alone and use of over sized pixels and blocks, it is a world miles apart from any other that we have seen in the world of gaming. However, somehow this uniqueness plays to the game's advantage, and into the into the creative hands of it's talented gamer's.
Armed with the know how, extraordinary skill and tons of patience, it isn't hard for talented Minecraft fans to bring popular fantasy creations to this not so typical world. Don't believe me? Minas Tirith from Lord of the Rings
Created by Tyranystrasz
When it comes to fantastical cities, there are many that we can choose from but none seem to touch the white city. It's is why it is the first Minecraft replica to make the list. Tyranystrasz did an amazing job in bringing the world of Lord of the Rings to Minecraft.
Just look at that view!
King's Landing from Game of Thrones
Created by WesterosCraft
In the Game of Thrones you either win or lose and I must say this one is a sure winner. While there are terrible things that go on in the GoT world, it is hard not to notice the beauty of the city and landscapes, especially in King's Landing. This aerial shot is just breathtaking and really shows all the hard work that goes into making a full scale replica.
Whether or not you are a fan of the show, you have to appreciate this.
Elsa's Castle from Frozen
Created by TheVoxelBox
The Voxel Box crew have made tons of fantasy replicas in the world of Minecraft and this recreation of Elsa's Castle is just one of their fantastic works. This creation is not only a work of art, it is also one that you can climb and explore inside and out.

Hogwarts from Harry Potter
Created by Shini_Ni and Sean_Amor
Admittedly, there are tons of Hogwarts recreations out there, not to mention the Hogwarts from the actual Harry Potter themed Minecraft game, but this creation by Shini_Ni and Sean_Amor is certainly spectacular -- and this is just one view of it!

Azeroth from World of Warcraft
Created by Rumsey
This is just on the city replicas created by Rumsey; in their super ambitious project of recreating the entire World of Warcraft world. While it is ambitious, it is one that they have obviously nailed from every small detail to the biggest. Azeroth isn't the only place included as Kalimdor and Northrend have also been replicated.

Columbia from BioShock
Created by TheVoxelBox
As I said before, The Voxel Box are the makers of plenty of Minecraft recreations of a wide variety, from the earlier appearing Elsa's Castle, to the floating world of Columbia from BioShock you see here. Admittedly, it has a Lego feel to it, but it is definitely a Minecraft work of art. Emphasis on work of art.
