Error Code 316719 appears to be afflicting Diablo 4 Beta players randomly, as many bugs and glitches of this type are wont to do. Unfortunately, it kicks players out of the game, causing them to lose created characters and/or sit through long waiting queues, some reaching upwards of 90 minutes.

What Causes Error Code 316719?

So what causes Error Code 316719? Right now, nobody seems to know for sure. Though a direct cause hasn’t been pinpointed yet, players are reporting multiple instances that could be triggering the error:

  • Leveling up a character.
  • Selecting a character.
  • Exiting character creation.
  • Simply starting the game.

All of that considered, it does appear that Blizzard support is aware of Error Code 316719. A post on the game’s forum regarding this specific issue from Zuvykree (Customer Support) acknowledges that the “team is on it,” referring to a potential fix that could be inbound.

As of right now, there is no fix for Error Code 316719. You’ll simply have to keep your fingers crossed that you don’t run into it, and if you do, you’ll just have to wait things out. That’s a frustrating answer, certainly, but players have tried all sorts of remedies to get around the issue.

Here’s a list of things that seemingly haven’t worked for those players that have encountered the bug:

  • Creating a new character
  • Choosing a new class
  • Deleting characters and classes
  • Switching to a primary character
  • Changing World Tiers

For now, that’s the TL;DR on Error Code 316719 in the Diablo 4 Beta. We’ll update this guide when there’s further information on the issue. And in the meantime, if you’ve been affected, try not to let the fires of Hell consume you! Thank you for reading.
