Now that Kingdom Hearts 3 is almost here, Square Enix is reportedly hopping back on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake PR train. And for those who have been patiently waiting since forever, it’s a good sign that things are (hopefully) right on schedule for the anticipated title.
With the dearth of news regarding the title over the past several months, many have speculated that the game may have been canceled — or at least put on the development back burner until KH3 was finished.
But as it turns out, Square Enix was only focused on PR for KH3. FF7‘s developers have been right where they belong — hard at work on the remake all this time.
According to Comicbook.com, Square is now ready to shift its PR efforts back to the Final Fantasy title, and that means we’ll be getting more news soon. In fact, the game’s director and producer, Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase respectively, have reportedly been dropping teasers about the game on Hokanko (as of this writing we were not able to verify reports as we were not able to access the site).
Per Comicbook.com, Kitase has said that “development on Final Fantasy 7 Remake is progressing smoothly.”
Of course, as new announcements regarding the Final Fantasy 7 remake roll out, we’ll be here to cover them.
