Hogwarts Legacy is filled with side quests, and the methods used to complete some of them can become useful later in the game when you’re solving puzzles for main quests. One of the many side quests you can find in Hogwarts Castle is called “Like a Moth to a Frame,” which begins with Lenora Everleigh in Central Hall.
Hogwarts Legacy Like a Moth to a Frame Walkthrough
Lenora is staring at a frame that appears to be empty, saying she must be missing something. She says an empty frame doesn’t appear for no reason, but that casting Lumos had an effect on the painting. She asks you to continue hunting for this riddle’s solution.
First, follow Lenora’s advice and cast Lumos while near the frame. The image of a different location will appear, and your quest objective will update to tell you to find the location shown in the moth mirror frame.
To find the location, turn right from the painting, run past the fountain, then continue down the stairs and turn left. There’s a quest marker that can help you along the way.
Using Revelio will highlight the moth in blue, so for future puzzles where it might be more difficult to find, this can be a helpful trick.
Once you find the moth, use Lumos again to get it to follow you. Guide it back to the painting frame, then toggle Lumos off to get the moth to settle in the moth-shaped depression of the frame. Now, you’ll be able to solve this puzzle for the other empty moth mirror frames you can find throughout Hogwarts Legacy.
With this, you’ll complete the Like a Moth to a Flame quest and be ready to check out our Hogwarts Legacy guides for other side quests, like finding Zenobia’s Gobstones. If you’re interested, here’s how to complete Sebastian Sallow’s questline.
