The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Will Get Collector’s Edition

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is still set for a May release date and will be receiving a collector's edition bundle.

Saving the best for last, Nintendo revealed at the end of today’s Direct that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be getting a collector’s edition bundle on launch day. Containing the game, a steelbook, and a few other goodies, it looks as if pre-orders for this version will be going up shortly. The base game will cost $70.

As well as hocking a more expensive version of the game, a brand new Link amiibo will be available on launch day. Details about what he adds to Tears of the Kingdom were not mentioned, though it could wind up being purely decorative. Nintendo’s implementation of amiibo in recent years has taken a dramatic downturn since the early days of those figures.
