Today, Sega announced that Sonic Mania has a collector’s edition. The special edition of the game will be available for pre-order for a limited time only.
Sonic Mania was first revealed alongside Project Sonic 2017 during Comic Con in July. It was announced that the game will be designed much like his original titles. The game is being developed by Headcannon, PagodaWest Games, and others, including Christian Whitehead.
The collector’s edition will include a variety of items. The set will come with a Sega cartridge cast, a 12 inch statue of Sonic with Sega Genesis start up audio, metallic collector’s card with download key, and a deluxe collector’s box. It’s important to note this doesn’t include a physical version of the game.
The title currently is known to be available digitally only for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Fans of 2D platformers and Sonic can look forward to Sonic Mania’s release in Spring 2017.
