This week CD Projekt Red releases two more free add-on DLC packs for the recently released Witcher 3 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The third and fourth of the planned sixteen free DLC for Witcher 3 are a new Witcher Contract and an alternate costume for Yennefer. The new contract called “Missing Miners” will concern an investigation into the disappearance of villagers from a small Skelligege town.
No specific date was released with this announcement, but it is likely that they will become available later this week, likely when the respective online stores update.
This new DLC will join the pre-existing Temerian Armor Set–for Geralt’s horse–and the customizable beard and hairstyles DLC also for Geralt.
Although none of the free DLC has been ground-breaking, but it is still good to see that CD Projekt Red recognizes and appreciates their fans. Co-Ceo Marcin Iwinski describes this large batch of free DLC as “our way of saying thank you for buying our game.” The remaining twelve DLC packs will be released weekly over the next two months.
CD Projekt Red also plans to release multiple paid expansions for The Witcher 3. These expansions will add multiple hours of gameplay and will be sizeable in content to say the least. The first of these expansions, known as Hearts of Stone is scheduled for release sometime in October. For more information on upcoming Witcher 3 content, stay tuned to GameSkinny.
