Utilizing the unique features of the PSVR 2 headset, Village supports 3D audio, 4K HDR output, and PSVR 2 Sense functionality. Similar to the Dualsense controller, the PSVR 2 wands provide haptic feedback that will help to immerse you in the experience. Much like the Meta Quest 2 version of Resident Evil 4, you can also dual-wield weapons, reload guns by performing the action with your hands, and look at maps by physically holding them up.
To get you up to speed on how things control, Village VR includes a tutorial and shooting range. The tutorial will go over basic control functionality, while the shooting range will let you figure out how guns work before being plunged into the depths of madness. These are likely features we can expect to see hit Resident Evil 4 Remake’s VR mode, which is scheduled to be released as free DLC post-launch.
Resident Evil Village VR is available today on PlayStation 5.
