Following an outage yesterday due to an unexpected missing materials bug, Destiny 2 is back online. Now that its up and running again, we’ve got some exciting news about the return of a fan-favorite multiplayer mode.
It would appear Trials Of Osiris is set to re-appear with the Empyrean Foundation content, which arrives on February 4, 2020. That news leaked today via some in-game text revealed by data miner Ginsor found in the Destiny 2.7.1 update.
If the text is accurate, expect to see a quest to restore the Lighthouse, followed by excellent loot if your team can manage to complete the Trials without any losses!
The 2.7.1. update saw a disastrous launch as rare materials suddenly disappeared from character inventories.
Destiny 2 went offline for several hours while a hotfix was applied, and since then a character rollback was enacted to restore missing items. Due to that rollback, any progress or purchase made between 8:30 – 10 AM PST will need to be redone.
If you’ve been away from Destiny 2 for awhile, Bungie’s flagship title recently left the Blizzard Battle.net launcher and went free to play via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more on Destiny 2 as it becomes available.
