Players have been calling Activision’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy an excellent remaster of the original 1996 video game. This new addition to the series includes a new soundtrack, voice actors, and a laundry list of old and well-known characters.

Among the new features, Crash now has the Slide attack that he can use to work through obstacles. But some players can’t quite figure out how to use it. But we here at GameSkinny have figured it out so you don’t have to. In this short guide, we’ll give you the rundown of the Slide ability and what you need to do.

How to Slide in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

To use Slide, all you have to do is make Crash run, then press O or R1, which will activate the ability. 

What Makes Slide Useful?

This move is most effective when you’re building up to more advanced moves like Slide Jump (Slide+X) or Slide Spin (Slide+Square). It’s also a great move to use against enemies with shields, and it helps to open certain crates (so long as they are underneath a TNT or Nitro crate).
