Call of Duty‘s newest trailer really takes the gloves off.
Coming up on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s October 25 release date, Activision recently released a new trailer highlighting some of the game’s literally explosive action.
Despite being labeled a gameplay trailer, it doesn’t really show much gameplay. Instead, it shows snippets of the game’s important story moments. Of course, there are enough explosions and gunfights to make any CoD fan immediately press the pre-order button. And it’s all to the tune of Metallica’s Enter Sandman.
In the midst of all the fire and rubble, we see series favorite Captain Price make his return, alongside some of the game’s new faces. We also get a look at the varied locations these explosions and gunfights will happen in, from homes and derelict buildings to airfields and even forests.
Even though we get a CoD game every year, and Modern Warfare is a soft reboot of an older subseries in the franchise, early impressions show that it’s shaping up to be a solid reboot the series needs.
