Fiesta is one of the many free to play MMORPGs on the market that doesn’t do a great job of standing out from the rest. Publisher Outspark has announced that they will no longer be handling the game, and that the other titles it published in North America are being closed down.
Taking over the Fiesta North American server will be European MMO publisher Gamigo, which hosts Jagged Alliance Online, Golfstar, and King of Kings 3 in the region. Fiesta‘s Outspark URL leads to a semi-functional Gamigo-run page.
Players of other titles from the publisher are out of luck, as all sites under the Outspark domain have been taken down outside of the announcement page and the Fiesta site above. Account holders have had their accounts and any previously purchased Sparkcash transferred over to Gamigo for use in other games.
Not the only publisher kicked to the curb
This news is released just a week after gPotato, another F2P MMORPG publisher, was purchased by Webzen. There is little doubt that both of these closures are related to less-than-optimal revenue over the 2012 financial year.
It’s sad to see people lose their jobs, but neither gPotato nor Outspark were known for their quality customer service.
