We got to see a little bit of No Man’s Sky during E3 this past month. And when I say a little bit, I mean only a little bit. We haven’t seen too much of the game at all, yet. So far we know that the game is set in a gigantic galaxy with billions of planets to explore, each with different life-forms that is unique to the planet for the player to explore.
With that said, Hello Games finally released 18 minutes of gameplay footage, showing off just a little more of the much-anticipated game.
With a lot of questions still surrounding the game, the 18 minutes of action does do a good job of answering some of them. It showed off things like what happens you die, what happens when your spaceship gets destroyed, and how you can customize your weapons. The video also shines some light on how you can kill enemies and creatures.
Along with the already colossal size of the generated map in No Man’s Sky we also find out that there will be underground caves and tunnels for the players to explore. Seeing a planet as a whole could take a very long time because we learned that the planets could take weeks to explore on foot.
No Man’s Sky does not have a set release date yet, but it is going to be out for the PC and as a planned PlayStation exclusive. Judging from what we have seen so far, it is looking like it will be an enormous game for players to go through.
