A Tour de Force: Microsoft Make XBox One Playable Before Its Release in London and Manchester UK

The XBox One will be available for gamers to play ahead of its launch in both London and Manchester.

XBox One will be landing in the UK once more for players to play ahead of its launch. Until recently, only those who descended upon Eurogamer Expo (EGX) 2013 had the chance to play on the next generation console. Now, in London between October 25th – November 1st 2013, and Manchester between November 18th – 27th, The XBox One Tour will give even more eager gamers a chance to play the console with a whole selection of games, including:

  • Forza 5 (awarded “Best XBox One Game” by us at EGX 2013)

  • Ryse: Son of Rome
A Tale of Just Two Cities?

Microsoft will try to canvas both north and south of the UK, by setting up camp not just in the capital, but also in Britain’s second city, Manchester. These events will be popular and you MUST register online at http://xboxonetour.com. Several sessions have already sold out despite registration being open for less than 24 hours.

However, if you’re too late in trying to register for a XBox One Tour, or have difficulty in reaching either Manchester or London for these dates, never fear as starting from today, British video game store GAME is also holding a series of “lock-ins” across a wider spread of UK towns and cities through to November 20th, including several across the suburbs of London.

Worth the Hassle?

Having had hands-on experience gameplay experience ourselves during EGX 2013, I have to admit that the XBox One is a pretty decent machine, although ultimately I still prefer Sony’s PlayStation 4.

Already having turned on the charm at EGX, it looks like Microsoft are really going hell for leather to convince as many gamers as possible to invest in their machine, despite already beating their rivals to the shelves by a full week.

But by all means, if you’re unsure, or undecided about which console to buy, than these official XBox events and the “lock-ins” at GAME will be a great place to start making an informed choice whilst playing some outstanding games.
