An interesting article crossed my eyes while reading the New York Daily News (at work) today. A game is being developed where the player chooses a female avatar to experience:

“The struggle with geography, time, and money to obtain abortions”

If you want to read more about this game check out the news article here. The game claims to have several avatars of various woman who try to navigate Texas’ abortion system. Recently abortion has been a hot button issue in Texas. The creators (listed as Abortion Right’s Activists) are trying to raise $9,250 to complete the game with an estimated release date of next February. If you’re interested in donating the indiegogo page is here

Without getting into the actual politics of abortion, I can’t say I’ve ever heard of a game that is expressly used to promote a political agenda. The article mentions a “choose your own adventure” type game that will be free online when completed.

What do you guys think of this? Is it a good way to promote your agenda? Regardless of your stance on Abortion, are you intrigued by the game? Let me know down below!
