The job listing was discovered on Gamasutra and is looking to fill a variety of positions for a team in Seattle, Washington. The project offers the chance to work with “top talent”, the likes of which have worked on Bioshock, Portal, WoW, The Last of Us, DOTA 2, Halo, Infamous, and more.

Notably, the listing continually references the team’s determination to take chances and innovate;

Amazon is committed to gamers, and building great teams who are excited to use Twitch, the AWS cloud, and technical innovation to radically evolve gameplay.

What is meant by “radically evolve gameplay” is anybody’s guess. The post went on to further reiterate that mantra; “We’re looking to take interesting risks, and invent!”

There is no details on what the game may be and it is yet unknown if it will work with Amazon Fire TV. Amazon released Fire TV last year and there are over 100 games to play on it so far. However there are no recent AAA games on the device, so it’s ability to run such games may be limited.

Last year Amazon also purchased Double Helix, developer of Killer Instinct on Xbox One. Despite the acquisition and Amazon’s apparent dedication to the PC platform, Double Helix continued to support the game with DLC.
