Due to prolonged unuse, Amazon UK has decided to end its trade-in program. The program allowed residents of the UK who were at least 18 years of age to trade-in their books and games.
The program will officially end August 31, 2015. Trade-in orders will not be accepted after the closure date. Trade-in items must be sent within seven days after your submission. Any items sent later than seven days will not be accepted and will be returned to the address provided.
Gift cards will remain valid even after the ending of this program, and the Amazon Marketplace will still be available for users to sell their items.
This program probably went unused because nobody really knew about it. I know I didn’t. Maybe Amazon will learn from this mistake and make sure its consumers are aware of new services. At least Amazon UK users still have the option of selling their items in the Amazon Marketplace.
Let me know: will you honestly miss Amazon UK’s trade-in program or not? Did you even use it? Share in the comments!
