Get ready to prestige — today Treyarch announced another double XP weekend for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The announcement was made on Treyarch’s Twitter account on Wednesday. This announcement comes amid many players complaining about lag and other connection issues across all available platforms.
Cal of Duty: Black Ops 3 released in early November, and this is the second double XP event since launch. The event will grant players double the experience points on all applicable actions made. The event should affect both multiplayer and zombies mode gameplay. It will start Friday December 11th at 10AM and carry on until Monday the 14th at 10AM. Unfortunately the double experience will not affect weapon leveling and progression. Players pursuing weapon prestige will have to wait for another double weapon XP event to speed their weapons leveling.
Treyarch’s announcement was not met with open arms. Fans on twitter voiced their displeasure with server quality and matchmaking in wake of the announcement. Activision support responded to the fans with support and tips and acknowledged the issues as their top priority.
A new patch was also released today to balance out the power of scorestreaks. New features were added to make many of the Score streaks more powerful and harder to destroy.
If you’re having trouble with your game, do not be afraid to contact Treyarch or Activison about it — either through their websites or Twitter. Finish the work week strong so you can enjoy the event. Happy gaming!
