After a week of anticipation, Black Ops 3 was revealed and brought with it a Deus Ex feel.
…Black Ops 3 will feature a more specialized “create-a-class” system as there will most likely be benefits tied to different augmentations.
The trailer shows soldiers with augmented limbs taking advantage of their environment. The addition seems to build on last year’s Advanced Warfare. The major difference though is that the extra abilities are not linked to an exoskeleton, but instead are linked to augmented body parts.
Although not much has been addressed dealing with the new augmentations, it does seem that Black Ops 3 will feature a more specialized “create-a-class” system as there will most likely be benefits tied to different augmentations.
Some soldiers seem more augmented than others
The future doesn’t just bring augmentation; it also brings mechs
…Black Ops 3 will see the return of 4 player co-op
In the trailer, augments are in action as soldiers take control of drones flying by and turn their limbs into extra weapons to eliminate enemies.
But one other key feature of the trailer: there always seems to be four soldiers taking the battlefield together. This is most likely because Black Ops 3 will see the return of 4 player co-op, something we haven’t seen in the franchise since World at War.
The co-op campaign is not the only place that players will be able to team up with friends, as it appears that zombies are returning, yet again. The end of the trailer shows a brief clip of a zombie breaking through a door, although more information will most likely be released in the future.
Black Ops 3 is set to release on November 6, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
