Last week on Thursday the Apple developer website was penetrated by hackers. Information belonging to the developers was accessed and stolen. Apple claims that sensitive information was encrypted and ‘can not be accessed’, but no security measure is 100%.

What is it?
The Apple developer website is used by those who desire a streamlined process for coding and publishing software for iOS devices. There is an SDK(Software Development Kit) to work with, debugging resources, and even an iPhone testing application. You can literally use the site to develop, debug, test, and then push the app directly to the Apple store.
A fix in sight?
Apple is improving the system by updating server software, and rebuilding the database. To me it seems a bit odd that the software was not regularly updated to prevent these types of intrusions. Apple is also crediting developer accounts for the time they have lost due to the website being down. This includes apps remaining on the app store and memberships being extended.
