Assassin’s Creed Identity will receive a worldwide release tomorrow, after having been soft-launched in New Zealand and Australia for the iOS. While Ubisoft did say there would be no Assassin’s Creed for 2016, they apparently meant there’d be no new titles in the main series.
Assassin’s Creed Identity takes place during the events of Assassin’s Creed II, and will allow players to customize their character with the ability to select from four different classes: Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster, and Thief.
While Identity will keep the series’ traditional parkour action, there is more emphasis on the RPG elements that the series dabbles. In addition to the ability to choose classes, you also receive a variety of loot that gives you more control over your character’s arsenal.
Ubisoft Blue Byte (best known for The Settlers series) wanted to bring the Assassin’s Creed universe to mobile, and it definitely appears to hit the right notes. You’ll be able to download Assassin’s Creed Identity tomorrow for all iOS 7 devices.
