There is a new spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie in the works. The game is still untitled, but is known as Project Ukulele. There is little known about the game for sure, but some things are for sure.
Firstly, the studio behind the game is known as Playtonic Games. This studio has a few key persons on board that have worked on previous Rare titles. Playtonic Games has the character designer that was behind Banjo and Kazooie. They also have recruited the programmer from Donkey Kong Country to work on the game.
There are other minor details known as well. The studio has announced that the game will be a full launch not a minor project. They have also announced that this in fact will be a spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie 2. Although the studio has not announced that this is a sequel; fans need to look at the bright side. At least they haven’t announced it isn’t a sequel. Playtonic did mention that they will be utilizing fan feedback to navigate the turnout of the game. There will be more details on the game later this week. To have the most recent news click here for their Twitter feed.
