Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City may be back in stores by Christmas. This is the most recent next-gen rumor for the title.
The rumor is allegedly coming from trusted industry sources. According to these sources, Warner Bros. and Rocksteady are making HD versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
Both games were well-received by critics, sold well in stores, and even broke the Guinness World Record for the “Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Video Game.”
Warner Bros. has yet comment on the status of the games. Batman: Arkham Origins, which was developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, is not rumored to be getting the HD treatment.
The interesting thing about this is that if the games are released, it will be after the final edition in the Arkham trilogy, Arkham Knights. Batman: Arkham Knights will be released on June 23 for Xbox One, PS4 while the PC version will be released at a later date.
