Battleborn’s cutest…I mean most terrifying…hero revealed!

Recently on Twitter, President of Gearbox Software Randy Pitchford (@DuvalMagic) showed the world one of the most interesting Battleborn heros to date.

Toby is an adorable little penguin with the most neurotic voice in the world. He pilots a massive exosuit with multiple capabilities. 

Three abilities are highlighted in Toby’s debut video (viewable at the beginning of the article). 

1. Arc Mine: A large, glowing red mine that can be fired onto the ground to await enemies. From the looks of it, the mine will have to be detonated manually by firing upon it.
2. Force Field: A small deployable force field (much like the Soldier’s Scorpio Turret Shield from previous Borderlands games). The force field appears to be liquid from the player’s side, meaning that Toby can fire through it, while enemies cannot.
3. Energy Dump: A massive energy beam charges up and fires from the exosuit’s chest, devastating enemies. This attack looks extremely powerful and will probably be a special ability, only available at certain times.

Toby the Destroyer is the 16th of 25 total playable Battleborn heros to be announced. Battleborn is scheduled for release on May 3rd, 2016.
