EA and DICE have reported that the Battlefield 4 downloadable content pack, “Naval Strike” has been delayed on PC due to a problem they encountered. While seemingly unaffected, many Xbox One users have reported that the pack is nowhere in sight for them either. PlayStation 4 users seem to have gotten their way in. The pack was set to release today, but has had no sightings on Xbox. It is a bad day, yet again, for the publisher and the fans.
It is no surprise that this happened, as the game itself has still been flooded with bugs and many more frustrating events. It is irritating to fans who spent fifty dollars on “Premium” and feel like they aren’t being treated fairly. EA has had no response for the console players who have reported no DLC in sight. Looks like another EA let-down in the eyes of the players. DICE, on the other hand, had this to say on the matter:
We are delaying the launch of Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC. We’ve detected an issue and it needs to be solved. Quality is our number one priority and we will not release Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC until we feel it meets the highest quality level possible. We are also working on a larger update to release alongside Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC that will address the issue of Tablet Commander not working correctly. Once we have a confirmed a new date for PC, we’ll be sure to update those players on our official channels. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing everyone on the Battlefield.
One thing Xbox users need to be mindful of is, that it has been reported that the Xbox service has been having issues today in certain aspects. One of the aspects affected is downloading. Although, that does not seem to be a big deal to others, it could be the cause behind the pack not appearing yet. Hopefully these issues will not continue into their Star Wars games, and they get this under control as soon as possible.
All we can do is be patient and hope it gets fixed soon. If you have any questions, be sure to contact EA or DICE in their support forums or you can ask them on Twitter. Let me know in the comment section below on how you feel about this delay. See you on the battlefield soldiers!
