With only 19 days left until its Nov. 20 launch, EA has finally released the official system requirements for Battlefield 5 on PC.
From the looks of it, both the minimum and recommended requirements for BF5 aren’t all that surprising. In fact, they’re not that much more substantial than the requirements for Battlefield 1.
Per EA:
Battlefield 5 Minimum PC Requirements
- OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
- Processor (AMD): AMD FX-8350
- Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1050 / NVIDIA
- GeForce GTX 660 2GB
- Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 560 / HD 7850 2GB
- DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
- Hard-drive space: 50GB
Battlefield 5 Recommended PC Requirements
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
- Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent
- Memory: 12GB RAM
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
- DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
- Hard-drive Space: 50GB
However, if you’re one of the lucky few who’s already picked up a ray tracing capable Nvidia graphics card (such as the GTX 2070, GTX 2080, or GTX 2080Ti), then your system’s recommended requirements are going to have to be just a tad beefier:
Battlefield 5 Recommended PC Requirements DXR
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10 October 2018 Update (1809)
- Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 7 2700
- Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 8700
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
- DirectX: DirectX Raytracing Compatible video card
- Available Disk Space: 50GB
Outside of the 20 series card itself, you’re bound to experience the most wallet strain on the 4GB RAM increase and processor. But if you’re interested in running DXR, you probably already have a pretty hefty rig.
This announcement came ahead of the just-released Battlefield 5 maps trailer, which shows off the game’s nine maps.
