Best Buy is no longer accepting online pre-orders for the Xbox One. The company’s product page shows that the Next Gen console is “Sold Out Online.” Customers will not be allow to purchase the units through their web site.
This week, GameStop has just announced their own sell-out for pre-orders of Sony’s upcoming Playstation 4 console. Best Buy appears to still be taking advanced orders for it as of today.
As for the Xbox One, despite an initial sell out of pre-orders back in June for the Day One Edition, GameStop is still selling pre-orders the Xbox One. Also, retailers like Walmart and Target are also still taking orders.

No word yet from the retailer or Microsoft about any additional pre-orders being made available. But, this has to be reassuring numbers after the post-E3 response in the gaming world over the Xbox One’s price point, concerns over privacy, and questions about resale of used game titles.
Microsoft’s November release date, Black Friday, and the Christmas shopping season are still months away. Will this surge of demand hold?
