Bethesda Teases New Indiana Jones Game in Collaboration with Lucasfilm Games

There's not a lot to know about the new Indiana Jones game just yet, but Bethesda shared a short teaser trailer for it on Twitter.

We always knew Indiana Jones would come walking back through our door in some form or fashion, whether that be an elusive fifth movie or something else. While a fifth movie in the franchise may never materialize after an increasing number of setbacks and release-date changes, fans will be getting a brand new Indiana Jones game from Bethesda and Machine Games in concert with the newly re-established Lucasfilm Games.

There’s not much to go on right now other than the fact that the game is being developed. So far, there’s no release date, title, or genre for the game, nor is there any mention of what platforms it may release on. Considering Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Bethesda, it’s certain the new Indy game will find its way to Xbox platforms and PC.

Bethesda shared a short teaser video for the game to their Twitter account earlier today, announcing the news.

According to Fandom, the last Indiana Jones game to release was the 2011 Zynga-developed Facebook title, Indiana Jones Adventure World. But Indy’s legacy goes way back to the days of the Atari 2600, and while the original Lucasfilm Games (better known as LucasArts) may be best remembered for titles in the Monkey Island and Sam & Max franchises, they did develop the best game featuring Mr. Jones  The Fate of Atlantis

Of course, the LEGO Indiana Jones games aren’t too shabby either.

Stay tuned for more on the next Indiana Jones game from Bethesda, Machine Games, and Lucasfilm Games.
