The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was one of the few games featured in the Nintendo Switch announcement Thursday. But the popular Bethesda game might not even be available on the new console come March.
“While we are not confirming any specific titles at this time, we are pleased to announce our partnership with Nintendo and support of the Switch.” a Bethesda spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz.
While we don’t know all specifics on the Switch yet, it looks like it will be third-party friendly, despite not being backwards compatible. Previous Nintendo consoles have been mostly exclusive to Nintendo produced games.
The day after the Switch announcement, Bethesda released a second gameplay trailer for Skyrim Special Edition. At the end, the video states it will be available on PS4 and XBOX One, but does not mention Nintendo Switch.
So far the only game officially confirmed for the Switch is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
