Fans of Nintendo have been in the dark lately ever since the death of Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata died on July 11th, 2015. However, Nintendo was rumoured to be setting up a Nintendo Direct in the near future while many of their dealings were handled under the radar. It’s great to know that the gaming giant has finally heard the cries of their followers to give them something – anything – to chew on, especially with their currently weak holiday lineup.

Twitter has exploded after the announcement, many fans speculating as to what will be announced during this Nintendo Direct. Some believe it might just be a conversation on previously announced games such as Metroid Prime: Federation ForceMario Tennis: Ultra Smash, and Xenoblade Chronicles X. However, some are hopeful that new information will be released on The Legend of Zelda: Wii U or the rumoured Twilight Princess HD.

One thing’s for sure: this is going to be big, but it just won’t be the same without Iwata-san.
