We will finally learn the truth…
Summer is a fun time of year, and a fun time for video games with the kickoff of E3 next week!
Mark your calendars, because Konami is having their Pre-E3 2013 show on June 6th. More information and trailers for their upcoming titles are expected to be revealed including: Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, and of course, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
But in addition to the typical reveals we always see during these conferences, there will be one major announcement that Metal Gear Solid fans, myself included, have been dying to uncover and that would be the official reveal of Snake’s voice actor in MGS 5.
A few days ago, Konami confirmed in a tweet that it would be revealing “the new voice of Snake” during their Pre-E3 show.
(In Snake’s voice) New Voice?
Yes! In addition, a teaser video, to go along with the reveal, was also released on Gamespot.
Those that have been following closely know that in April, David Hayter, the iconic voice actor for Solid Snake and Big Boss, was not asked to reprise his role for the newest edition of the Metal Gear series. Of course, many fans were disappointed to hear this news. This isn’t surprising, after all, if you’ve been playing the title for over 15 years, and have enjoyed hearing the famous, gravelly voice of Snake alongside your missions, you’re bound to be upset by his absence.
While the debate has been going on for two months, we do know that the truth will be revealed shortly. Whoever is voicing Snake will be the voice, and that’s reality. Hopefully, more information regarding the voice actor choice will be revealed during Konami’s Pre-E3 Show on Thursday.
Until then, you can keep up with the conversation on Twitter #KEPTYOUWAITINGHUH.
