Diablo 4 is coming. Anyone paying attention knows that Blizzard has been working on the game for some time, with rumors and reports from as far back as 2016 hinting at the game’s existence. Fans and journos alike even expected Blizzard to announce the game at last year’s BlizzCon, but the title was ultimately a no-show.
Now, just a few weeks ahead of BlizzCon 2019, new rumors and alleged leaks have surfaced, leading many to believe Blizzard will finally reveal Diablo 4.
The latest comes from an advertisement in German gaming magazine Game Star. According to various reports, the advertisement is for an upcoming Diablo artbook appropriately titled The Art of Diablo.
While the advertisement itself doesn’t show anything from the elusive dungeon-crawler, it does carry a curious description. Reportedly, the book will include artwork from all of the games in the series, including Diablo 4.
Roughly, here’s what the alleged advertisement says via Google translate:
Featuring over 500 artworks from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, and Diablo IV, this book features many noteworthy artworks created for Blizzard entertainment’s iconic action-RPG, as generations of fans have created everlasting nightmares.
Of course, there has been no official confirmation that this ad is legitimate. Going over to the artbook’s Amazon page, it’s description does not mention any of the game’s included within, much less Diablo 4.
However, the artbook will be available for purchase starting on November 3, the last day of BlizzCon 2019, which runs from November 1-3. It is conceivable that both the game and the artbook will be announced in tandem during the event.
The hardcover book is currently available for pre-order for $31.50 on Amazon. Alongside art from all of the games in the franchise, the book is said to contain never-before-seen content.
