Before the full retail release of Overwatch, Blizzard warned they had a mighty ban hammer ready to swing. Well they’re already making good on their promise.
Several, several users of a popular cheating program took to the company’s forum to bitch and moan about their bans. A few have even claimed they’ve tried to delete game launchers, install newly purchased copies, futz with their hard drives to try and mask their account – none of it works. They’re all still banned. For life.
What’s even colder is the response to the rampant cheating over in China. Nearly 1,600 people have been struck down by Reinhardt’s banhammer of justice. Blizzard teamed up with with partner NetEase to collect and ban the offenders en masse THEN going out of their way to publish the handles of all those banned for life! That Mei’s ultimate levels of ice cold.
