During one of their panels at PAX South, game developer Gearbox announced that they were in the process of making some future campaign DLC that will focus on Claptrap, one of the long time characters in the Borderlands franchise. However, they haven’t announced any specifics about the DLC as of this writing. The developer explained that:

“We’ve been working really hard on a campaign DLC that lets you go inside the mind of Claptrap.”

Also announced at their PAX South panel was that there will be a new character available for download for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel; namely Lady Hammerlock, sister of Sir Hammerlock, who appears in both Borderlands 2, and The Pre-Sequel. Lady Hammerlock will be available for download as of January 27.

Both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be released for the Xbox One and PS4 as part of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. The Handsome Collection will be released on March 24 for North America, and will be available internationally on March 27. Since DLC is still on the way for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will include a Season Pass.

Additionally, a new ‘Claptrap-In-A-Box’ is currently on the way, and available for pre-order on Amazon now. It currently costs $400 to pre-order, and features a remote controlled ClapTrap which rolls around on one wheel, and also looks and sounds exactly like Claptrap.
