Burial At Sea Ep. 2: Irrational Shares Their Proudest Moments

Irrational Games is no more, but the team has some great memories of their last project.

It’s unfortunate the boss man Ken Levine opted to dissolve the talented team at Irrational Games. However, as a goodbye, the developers have prepared a “Proudest Moments” video for the long-time fans.

It highlights their time creating the second part of the Burial at Sea downloadable content for Bioshock Infinite. It’s a narrative-driven expansion in a sea of multiplayer DLC, which makes it that much more appealing in my eyes.

If you think the video might contain some story spoilers, you needn’t worry. They don’t spill the beans on any important plot twists in the new episode. That being said, I know many want to go into an anticipated experience entirely fresh, in that they don’t even want to see a behind-the-scenes trailer like this one.

Bioshock Infinite was one of the best games of the previous generation, and it earned plenty of accolades in 2013. Burial at Sea focuses on Booker’s partner in the game, Elizabeth, and also transports you back to Rapture. As the fans well know, Rapture was the wonderfully atmospheric environment in Bioshock II. Yeah, under the ocean, remember?

Anyway, it’s great to see a team look back with fondness at a job well done. It’s a little sad that most of them have to find new jobs, but it shouldn’t be too tough. Not with Bioshock on your resume and a personal recommendation from Levine.
