Switching over from the Xbox, the Call of Duty series is giving PlayStation users an exclusive 5 days on the Black Ops III beta. The beta opens on August 19th for PlayStation players, but for everyone else the beta will be available anytime after August 23rd.
Even though the beta is opened to the public, only people who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops III have guaranteed access into it.
Exclusive content coming to the PS4 is part of Activision’s new relationship with Sony. Previously, all exclusive content would have gone to Microsoft’s Xbox platforms, but Black Ops III will be the first game in the series to give the edge to PlayStation.
This information also comes right after a trailer release for the new zombies mode that is set in a 1940’s noir type environment. The mode shows off a unique setting for their classic zombies mode that comes equipped with new voice actors and new weapons for players to use.
After hitting the mark among most critics with their last Call of Duty game, Activision hopes to achieve the same with Black Ops III. Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set to be released on November 6th this year, and hopefully the beta can help Treyarch polish it a bit more.
