Call of Duty: Mobile‘s latest season update brings along with it a theme that takes John McClane’s classic “yipee-kai yay!” a lot further than just introducing 80’s action heroes.
Starting Wednesday, May 26, at 5 p.m. PT, players can put on their cowboy boots and spin their spurs with the new Spurned and Burned Season 4 theme. Featuring an updated 1v1 duel mode, multiplayer mode in Capture the Gold, and the introduction of a map from Modern Warfare 3, Dome.
The new 1v1 duel mode is an optimized version available for one day (May 26), where players will have unlimited bullets and duke it out in western style. Capture the Gold is another mode that will be available for a limited time, putting a wild west spin on capture the flag where players will be chasing gold instead.
The new season update also includes a new ranked season for those looking for even more of a challenge and clan wars, a new competitive event that will run alongside ranked series. Clans can compete against each other for prizes, earn clan currency and then use that to acquire special items part of the event.
Later on in the season on June 11, players will be able to take part in another new event, this one titled High Noon Chase where you form a posse to track down some no-good bank robbers.
