Capcom Announces Resident Evil Re:Verse Open Beta

Resident Evil Re:Verse is getting an open beta, and there's more RE Village news on the way.

The Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta starts April 7 at 11 p.m. PST/April 8 at 2 a.m. EST and runs through April 10/11 at the same time, Capcom announced. It’s just one part of Capcom’s Resident Evil 25th anniversary celebrations, with more Resident Evil Village news planned for April as well.

Those who took part in the Re:Verse closed beta can download the update and continue using their existing files. Capcom will start open beta downloads on April 5, and all will need a Capcom ID to take part.

Resident Evil Re:Verse is a battle royale game starring heroes and villains from throughout the series. The goal is grabbing as many virus vials as possible, but not just to dominate the world. When you’re eliminated, the virus resurrects you as a bioweapon, and the more you collect, the stronger your zombified self shambles about.

Meanwhile, Capcom teased another Resident Evil Village showcase for sometime in April but is remaining coy about when it is and what to expect. Seeing as the last one dropped some surprising information about Tall Vampire Lady (okay fine: Lady Dimitrescu) and a RE Village demo, chances are, the next showcase will be worthwhile too.
