Chips Challenge 2 Has Arrived!

After 25 years, Chips Challenge 2 is finally here!
This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

The long-awaited (and I mean 25 years long) game, Chips Challenge 2 is finally here. So for all of you die-hard Chips Challenge fans, this is a big day for you! It wasn’t Chuck Sommerville’s (creator of Chips Challenge) fault the game took so long; he actually had the sequel made and ready to go 2 years after the original was created. But when the trademark gets sold, and people want you to cover all the costs basically, it’s not a surprise the game was postponed.

A Cautionary New Hope

This gives great hope that other great sequels may someday resurface. I would love to see an actual sequel to Conker’s Bad Fur Day! However, this also brings a little caution to the field. Some games, like Duke Nukem Forever, were a long-awaited sequel that made people want to throw their televisions out the window. So, while Chips Challenge 2 seems promising and is getting favorable reviews, let’s hope that other sequels that seem to take forever to release are well done.

You can find both the original game and the sequel of Chips Challenge via Steam.
